I'll help you figure out AI

Based in Houston. I work with businesses that know AI matters but aren't sure where to start. We figure it out together, and I build what you need.

What I do

It usually starts with a conversation. I showed a guy the draft war room app I built for my kid's baseball league. He said “wait, can you do something like that for lumber pricing?” He builds homes. He'd never considered it.

That's the conversation I want to have with you. From there, the work tends to go in one of three directions.

Connect and make sense of your data

You have data in systems that don't talk to each other. I connect them and build tools that make that information useful day to day.

Built a live operations dashboard for an industrial services company by connecting directly to their field database. Their CEO had been trying to get this done for six months. We had a working prototype on day one.

🛠️

Build custom tools that fit how you already work

Not a platform you have to learn. Software built around your existing workflow.

Replaced Salesforce for a boutique energy advisory firm with a custom CRM built around how they actually track deals, not how Salesforce thinks they should.

🧭

Help your organization adopt AI effectively

Which tools, how to roll them out across teams, what guardrails to put in place. This is about organizational strategy, not picking a chatbot.

How it works

1

We have a conversation

Free, casual. I learn about your world, you learn about mine. We figure out if there's a fit.

2

If there's a fit, I embed with your team

Monthly retainer, scoped to what you actually need. I'm not handing you a deliverable and disappearing.

3

I build something real in the first week

So you know what you're getting before you've committed to anything long-term.

4

We go from there

Based on what we learn together.

About me

I'm Zach. I spent seven years at Uber. Launched uberX in DC, moved into the product organization as the link between on-the-ground operations and the teams building the technology, then managed the entire Gulf Coast region. My job was making sure business priorities got built into software that actually worked for the people using it. One of the fastest-growing companies in history (before OpenAI and Anthropic showed up).

Before that, I was an auditor at Ernst & Young. I speak business outcomes, not technical abstractions.

Now I own and run businesses in Houston. I build the software I deliver using the same AI tools I help clients adopt. I'm a business owner who learned to build, not an engineer who learned to consult.
